Help with Routing Gate for iPhone: Gates, Spaces, Remotes, Apple Shortcuts and purchases.
Contact: drv.8604@gmail.com. Include your iPhone model, iOS version, Routing Gate version/build, the steps you took and what happened. A screenshot can help; remove unrelated personal information first. Never send your Apple Account password or full payment-card details.
Connect your first Gate to a Shortcut
- Open Gates, create a Space, then add a Gate inside it.
- In Apple’s Shortcuts app, open the command you want to control and add Routing Gate’s Check Gate action.
- Select your Gate. Use the Boolean result in an If action to choose what the Shortcut does.
- Run the Shortcut with the Gate on, then off, to confirm both branches.
Routing Gate’s Settings also contains setup guidance and links to Shortcut resources. A Gate controls the result returned to your Shortcut; it does not automatically rewrite or schedule the Shortcut.
Create a Remote
Open Remotes, create a Remote and add buttons. Choose Apple Shortcut or Open Link / App for the action you want, then save. A Shortcut must already exist in Apple Shortcuts, and its name must match the configured name. For a website, check the address; for an app link, the destination app must support that link and may need to be installed.
To open a particular Remote from Apple Shortcuts, use Routing Gate’s Open Remote action and select that Remote. If the Remote is later deleted, update the Shortcut to select an existing one.
Trial and paid access
The seven-day Pro trial starts when onboarding is completed and the trial is initialized. It does not automatically become a paid subscription. The trial date is stored in Keychain and may survive app deletion, so reinstalling does not guarantee a new trial.
For missing paid access, confirm that you use the Apple Account that made the purchase, connect to the internet and use Restore Purchases in Settings or the access screen. A restored 30 Days purchase keeps its original expiry date. If the issue persists, contact support before purchasing again.
Prices and available offers are shown by the app and Apple before purchase. If an option is unavailable, do not assume you have been charged; check Apple’s purchase history or contact support.
Monthly, Lifetime and refunds
Ten qualifying paid Monthly transactions unlock Lifetime. Free periods, 30 Days and Family Sharing access do not count. Refunds and revocations can change the qualifying count. See the full access terms for details.
Lifetime does not automatically cancel Monthly. Review renewal in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iPhone. Apple explains cancellation here. Refund requests for Apple-billed purchases are handled by Apple: request a refund.
Protect your local data
Gates, Spaces, Remotes and selected images are stored on your device. The app has no separate cloud synchronization service. Restore Purchases restores eligible access, not deleted content. Avoid deleting the app as a troubleshooting step if you need to keep your setup.
If an action does not work
- Check your trial or paid-access status. Without the required access, Check Gate may return false and Pro actions can be unavailable.
- Confirm that the referenced Gate or Remote still exists and that you saved the button configuration.
- Try the Shortcut directly in Apple Shortcuts to check its permissions and external dependencies.
- For links, check the address, destination app and any required internet connection.
- Restart Routing Gate and try again. If the issue remains, email the steps needed to reproduce it.
